Stay in the Black Forest
From the Netherlands we travel to Grafenhausen, a small town in the south of the Black Forest. In Grafenhausen we stay the first 2 nights. On Friday we move from Grafenhausen to the more centrally located town of Todtnau. This small town is located between the highest mountains of the Black Forest. The area is ideal for a cross country mountain bike trekking. Every day we look for the most beautiful climbs and descents. No day is the same, the kilometers pass under our wheels. We make a lot of altimeters, since no meter is flat in the Black Forest. The climbs are steep, but not extremely long. On Saturday we climb the highest mountain in the Black Forest; the Feldberg with a height of 1493 meters.
5 days biking in the Black Forest
Day 1 – Outward journey to Grafenhausen
On Wednesday you travel to Grafenhausen on your own. We will meet at the hotel at 2 pm. Here you have time to check in and fix your bike. At 4 pm we get on our bikes for a good warm-up lap. We do this to kick the legs loose, to get used to the terrain and to each other and to see if the material is in order. After the ‘ice is broken’ we sit down for a carbohydrate-rich dinner. After dinner we will tell you everything about the coming days.
Day 2 – Prologue around Grafenhausen
On Thursday we will ride a long stage around Grafenhausen. Departure is at 9am by default. Along the way we have lunch in an authentic restaurant, and around 5 pm we roll back into the hotel. When we return to the hotel, we have plenty of time to clean our bike and enjoy a well-deserved sauna or a drink on the terrace.
Day 3 – From Grafenhausen to Todtnau
On Friday we drive a tough stage from Grafenhausen to Todtnau, our next place to stay. Every day we bridge between 1500 and 2000 altimeters, the climbs we ride are between 300 and 700 altimeters long. Climbs follow each other in quick succession and are steep! At a relatively short distance you quickly drive a lot of altimeters.
Day 4 – Stage around Todtnau
During the fourth stage, just like on day two, we do a round trip and return to our hotel in Todtnau. Here we will stay another night.
Day 5 – The final stage
On Sunday morning we get up early and drive back to Grafenhausen. We leave early and make sure we are back around noon where we started this long weekend. At the hotel we take a shower and prepare for departure to the Netherlands.

We take care of the rest and will completely unburden you. Together we will enjoy the wonderful possibilities that the Black Forest has to offer. You do not need a huge to participate in this trip to be a technical mountain biker. We drive many schotter roads, cart paths and of course as many trails as possible. However, the routes and trails are not as technical as in the Alps, for example.

You drive a perfectly adapted route that matches your level. Each stage there is a choice of two routes; a long variant, with more kilometers and altimeters, and a shorter one.
