Riding trails in the Zugspitz Arena

In the middle of Tyrol, only an eight-hour drive from the Netherlands, lies a mountain bike paradise: the Zugspitz Arena. In this area you will find picturesque villages, crystal clear mountain lakes, beautiful peaks and a wide variety of mountain bike trails. For four days you will explore the area by mountain bike, accompanied by a Dutch guide. We discover the challenging terrain of the Zugspitz Arena by riding both trails and enduro tours. At the end of the day it’s time for some relaxation, a good meal and a lot of fun at our accommodation, the Mountain Lodge Tyrol in Berwang.

You decide how you want to explore this region by mountain bike. A relaxed route through the valley, challenging singletrack above the tree line or the professional freeride routes of Lermoos. The highlight and regular part of an MTB trip in this area is the famous Blindsee trail. You will stay five nights in a comfortable lodge in the village of Berwang. Tyrol from the MTB

Day 1 – the ‘warm-up’

In the morning we have a good breakfast and prepare our packed lunch for the road. Today we start slowly and gradually warm up. During the day we will ride more and more challenging trails. From the first moment you can enjoy the beautiful nature and the challenging trails.

Day 2, 3 & 4 – trails and enduro

Since the Zugspitz Arena is so varied, this gives us countless possibilities. One day we only use the elevators, the next day we also go for the physical challenge. During the enduro tours we climb an average of about 500 to 1000 meters and we cycle past various villages and mountain lakes.

At the end of every day it’s great to be in the Mountain Lodge Tyrol to return. Here we enjoy the sacrament and reflect on all that we have experienced.

Trails and Enduro

We will be riding trails as well as enduro rides. During the trail days we only use the lifts. What follows are the endless descents over challenging single tracks. We alternate the tension and speed of the trails with some physical effort during the enduro days. On these days we make most of the altimeters with the lift, but we also climb a few hundred altimeters under our own power.

During this trip you need a mountain bike with front and rear suspension (full suspension). For the less strong climbers, an e-mountain bike can be a godsend. A bicycle can be rented on site. We ensure that it is delivered to the accommodation.

Level of this trip

There is a suitable challenge for every level in the Zugspitz Arena. The group is divided according to the level and the wishes. An experienced guide not only provides the route and guidance, but also pays attention to the technique of each individual. With the right tips and tricks, your descents will become better and safer. This trip is for the ‘beginner’, ‘intermediate’ and ‘advanced’ levels. Do you want to know more about the levels? then click here . For more information you can always call us!

Only praise!

Hi Gijs-Jan, Bas and Michael,

Last week we drove four days with Bas in Tux. Only praise! Nice location, well looked after. The lessons were adapted to the level of the group. Clear explanation on the slopes, sometimes back to the basics, to practice this first on and then immediately off-piste. The importance of a good (basic) technique becomes immediately clear. In addition, plenty of time to enjoy the fresh powder that had fallen … you had arranged that well ;-).
The cliniq waxing and grinding was very clear and also nice that it was nice and practical, immediately applicable! The cliniq about the ski technique may have seemed a little less relevant to the boarders at first, but the day after we applied certain discussed techniques from the cliniq to the board, and then it became immediately clear that these things also apply to snowboarders.

Very cool that you were also able to arrange the trip for snowboarders and I will definitely recommend the trip to other people!
