Heli Skiing in Canada – Ripley Creek Inn

The pristine wilderness stretches out before you. Until the horizon you see only mountains, glaciers, trees and endless powder snow. The helicopter is waiting right next to the comfortable lodge. You board with only 3 other participants, the guide and the pilot. When you get out you have the mountain to yourself. There are no elevators here. Each descent is carefully chosen based on your level and wishes. Sometimes you make up to 1,500 altimeters in a single descent. Welcome to the northernmost tip of Canada, near the Alaskan border.

Heliskiing at Last Frontier Heliskiing

This is the domain of our partner Last Frontier Heliskiing. They have an exclusive area of 10,000 km2 of snow-covered mountains (Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe together). Only 60 lucky people per week get access to this huge white playground. And you can be one of them. At Last Frontier they do everything they can to give you the ultimate heli-ski experience. This is boutique heliskiing at its best. Epique ensures that you are well prepared and can get the most out of your heli adventure.

4, 5, or 7 days of heli-skiing from Ripley Creek

The second location of Last Frontier Heliskiing is located in an old mining village on the Alaska border, Stewart. As soon as you enter the village you know that you are in a corner, here it seems as if time has stood still.

You spend the night in the Ripley Creek Inn, an authentic hotel, upgraded to this time. A comfortable bed, private bathroom and even here, WiFi. An exclusive location that can accommodate only 24 guests per week. Directly opposite the hotel, dinner is served at the Bitter Creek Cafe. Here you can enjoy great Canadian cuisine and the best local seafood. After a day in the powder snow you can relax at the bar or, with a glass of wine, in the outdoor jacuzzi.

From Stewart you can access the southern part of Last Frontier’s heli-skiing domain and is known for being challenging. Steep alpine descents, wide bowls, long runs over glaciers and spectacular tree runs. With a small group of 4 skiers or snowboarders we are flexible and look for the most challenging descents.

Imagine yourself in the special atmosphere of Stewart and go heli-skiing or boarding in the largest heli-ski area in the world. Are you ready for an epic heli-ski or snowboard adventure? Contact us.

For the first time with EPIQUE and not for the last!

I have been in the mountains with quite a few different organizations in my life. But as far as I’m concerned, EPIQUE is at the top of the list from now on. The program (off-piste training on the glacier of Hintertux) was very well structured. Clear structure, which I really liked. Michael is really good at what he does. His clear explanation, great knowledge and skills, clarity, patience, understanding and not to forget humor made the difference for me. I learned a lot. But I also had the feeling that I was really welcome haha! You do that very well. Gijs-Jan, Michiel, Vincent and Bas, many thanks and see you next time!
