Culture, nature, sushi and dry powder snow is what it’s all about on a ski or snowboard trip to Japan. This adventure takes place on Japan’s main island, Honshu. About 270 km northwest of Tokyo is the Hakuba Valley. In the middle of the Japanese Alps, you will find peaks that rise above 3000 meters and the steepest powder runs in Japan.
There are 11 ski areas in Hakuba, including the well-known Nagano. By combining multiple areas we have access to an immense freeride terrain with challenging descents for every level. Flat and steep descents alternate with the most challenging tree runs. Our experienced guides show you the most sublime freeride routes and make sure you get down safely. Sometimes you make a short climb to find undiscovered spots. Read here Martin’s blog about his Japan trip.
Unprecedented dry powder snow
With an average of 13 meters of snow per year, you will not be short of anything in Hakuba. In addition to a lot of snow, Hakuba is known for the dumps that alternate with clear blue skies. The ideal combination for a freeride trip to the ‘Powder Capital of the World’. After an intensive day off-piste, you can enjoy fresh sushi with sake in the hotel. Finally, you can relax in the onsen; the traditional Japanese sauna.
