This SGR guarantee means that the consumer is assured that his prepaid travel money will be refunded if the other party is unable to fulfill the agreed performance due to financial inability. Insofar as the agreement also includes transport and the destination has already been reached, the return journey will be taken care of.

SGRZ is a guarantee fund for the business market. SGRZ offers a guarantee against insolvency of providers of group and incentive travel (MICE), school trips and business travel. The clients of these trips are companies, companies, groups, etc. See the SGRZ guarantee scheme for the exact conditions. In addition, from 1 July 2018, SGRZ offers retail coverage to SGR retailers who purchase travel from an SGR tour operator. This concerns an internal insurance.

Why SGR?

From 2010-2017, Stichting Garantiefonds Reisgelden (SGR) had to deal with 70 bankruptcies of affiliated travel organizations. In the past seven years, 70,000 people have been duped who booked and paid for a trip. The SGR hereby informs us that it is important to book with an SGR participant, as a result of this, victims are fully compensated.

Erik Jan Reuver (director of SGR): “These figures show why it is important that people book their dream holiday with a travel organization that is affiliated with SGR. It’s not for nothing that people often talk about their dream vacation and if it falls to pieces early, it is reassuring to have the GSC to fall back on. The GSC guarantees travel money paid in advance by the consumer. The SGR also ensures, for example, that if the traveler is at the holiday destination and the travel organization appears to have not paid for the stay or the return journey, this is still arranged by the SGR and the traveler can enjoy his holiday destination. Booking with an SGR travel organization costs nothing extra, so our advice is always do and check via whether the travel organization is a member of the GSC”.

I'll definitely return !

Thank Gijs-Jan and Vincent! Had a great training last week in Hintertux. Working on a better technique step by step on the basis of small exercises. For myself already after 2 days an improvement of 200%! Learning a lot, making a lot of miles. And with a good eye for motivation and safety. On time and had a nice break in the restaurant with a nice chat and sharing knowledge. You can certainly expect me back!
